(Sahih Muslim 2675, Book 48, Hadith 1)

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (RA) said: I heard Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) himself say, "The Mu'athin's sins will be forgiven as far as his voice reaches, and every wet and dry thing will pray for forgiveness for him. For the one who attends the prayer, twenty-five Hasanat (good deeds) will be recorded, and it will be his expiation (for sins committed) between them (the two prayers)." (Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 3, Hadith 19)

On the authority of 'Uqbah Ibn Amir (RA): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Your Lord delights at a shepherd who, on the peak of a mountain crag, gives the call to prayer and prays. Narrated Mughira bin Shu'ba (RA): When I came to Najran, they (the Christians of Najran) asked me: "You read: O sister of Harun" (referring to Hadrat Maryam (as)) in the Qur'an) whereas Moses was born much before Jesus. Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said: "While a man was going on his way, he felt himself thirsty severely. He found a well and he went down in it. He drank water and came out. Suddenly he saw a dog panting and eating soil due to thirst. The man said (to himself) “This dog must have reached the same condition due to thirst as I had reached. So he went down into the well, filled his sock with water, held it with his mouth and came up. He supplied water to the dog. Allah appreciated this and forgave him.” They asked, “Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him), Is there any reward for us for these beasts? He replied, For every cool liver there is a reward.” (Sunan Abi Dawud 2550, Book 15, Hadith 74)

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs wudu' and does it well, then sets out for the Masjid and finds that the people have already prayed, Allah will decree for him a reward like that of those who attended (the prayer), without reducing the slightest from their reward." (Sunan an-Nasa'i, Vol. 1, Book 10, Hadith 79)

Narrated Jabir (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "I entered Paradise and saw a palace and asked whose palace is this? They (the Angels) said, "This palace belongs to `Umar ibn Al-Khattab' I intended to enter it, and nothing stopped me except my knowledge about your sense of Ghira (self-respect (O `Umar)." `Umar (RA) said, "O Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him)! Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you! O Allah's Prophet (peace be upon him)! How dare I think of my Ghira (self-respect) being offended by you?"
