ISLAM THE SOLUTION TO MANKIND

It was narrated from Aishah (RA) that: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Marriage is part of my sunnah, and whoever does not follow my sunnah has nothing to do with me. Get married, for I will boast of your great numbers before the nations. Whoever has the means, let him get married, and whoever does not, then he should fast for it will diminish his desire.” (Sunan Ibn Majah, Vol. 3, Book 9, Hadith 1846)

Aws bin Aws (RA) narrated: "Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said to me: 'Whoever performs Ghusl on Friday, and bathes completely, and goes early, arriving early, gets close and listens and is silent, there will be for him in every step he takes the reward of a year of fasting and standing (in prayer).'" (Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 1, Book 4, Hadith 9) _Even purifying yourself and going to worship Allah on Jummah has an immense reward with every action and every step. We cannot even thank Allah enough for His mercy on us! This brought tears to our eyes. O Allah, may your Mercy reach all of us!_

Salat is an essential pillar that is mandatory upon every muslim. Not just that however, but also praying at the stipulated time the right way as thought by the prophet Muhammad (SAW). In accordance with these, it is allowed for a person to only combine two prayers in a day – usually Thuhr (noon) and ‘Asr (afternoon) prayers, or the Maghrib (sunset) and ‘Ishaa’ (night) prayers, during the time of either prayer if he finds himself in any of the below listed circumstances. 1. Combining two prayers at ‘Arafah and Al-Muzdalifah During hajj or when someone is performing hajj, he is permitted to combine the Thuhr and ‘Asr prayers during the time of the Thuhr prayer at ‘Arafah, and the Maghrib and ‘Ishaa’ prayers during the time of the ‘Ishaa’ prayer at Muzdalifah, following the example of the Prophet (SAW) 2. Combining two prayers while travelling Muslims are permitted to combine the Thuhr prayer with the ‘Asr prayer and also the Maghrib prayer with the ‘Ishaa’ prayer while they are on

Abu Sa'eed (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The poor Muhajirin will enter Paradise before the rich among them by five hundred years." (Jami’at-Tirmidhi 2351, Book 36, Hadith 48)

Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "One prayer in this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other Masjid except Al-Masjid Al-Kabah.'" (Sunan an-Nasa'i 2899 Book 24, Hadith 0) _May Allah bless us all with the ability to pray in our beloved Prophet’s (SAW) Mosque inshAllah!_ Ameen!

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "When the believers pass safely over (the bridge across) Hell, they will be stopped at a bridge in between Hell and Paradise where they will retaliate upon each other for the injustices done among them in the world, and when they get purified of all their sins, they will be admitted into Paradise. By Him in Whose Hands the life of Muhammad is everybody will recognize his dwelling in Paradise better than he recognizes his dwelling in this world." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol3, Book 46, Hadith 1) The bridge of As-Sirat. Where some will pass over it like a light and others will crawl, clinging onto it. May Allah help us all be successful so that we cross that bridge into Paradise (Ameen).

Aishah (R) narrated: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) would accept gifts and he would give something in return." (Sahih Jami’ at-Tirmidhi, Book 27 Hadith 59) _Don’t wait until Eid to exchange gifts. Revive the sunnah and spread joy, increase the love between each other and give gifts. The ability to give a gift is a gift in itself!_

It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RA) that: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow's nest for Allah or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." (Sunan Ibn Majah, Book 4, Hadith 4) What immense reward :)

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA): "Allah has not created in the heavens nor in the earth what is more magnificent than Ayat Al-Kursi." Sufyan (RA) said: "Because Ayat Al-Kursi is the Speech of Allah, and Allah's Speech is greater than Allah's creation of the heavens and the earth." (Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, Book 42, Hadith 2884) _Remember Ayat ul Qursi is a protection for us. Keep it close on the tongue and in the heart. Never let it leave your side and teach your children it, giving it paramount importance.

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "While a man was walking through a barren land, he heard a voice coming out of a cloud saying: 'Irrigate the garden of so-and- so.' Thereupon the cloud drifted in a certain direction and discharged its water over a rocky plain. The streamlets flowed into a channel. This man followed the channel until it reached a garden and he saw the owner of the garden standing in its center, working with his spade spreading the water (changing the course of the water). He asked him: "O slave of Allah, what is your name?" He told his name, which was the same that he heard from the cloud. The owner of the garden then asked him: "O slave of Allah, why did you ask my name?" He replied: "I heard a voice from a cloud which poured down this water saying: 'Irrigate the garden of so-and-so.' I would like to know what do you do with it." He said: "Now that you asked me, I will tell you. I

It was narrated that Abu Kabshah Al-Anmari (RA) said:“The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘The likeness of this nation is that of four people: A man to whom Allah gives wealth and knowledge, so he acts according to his knowledge with regard to his wealth, spending it as it should be spent; a man to whom Allah gives knowledge, but he does not give him wealth, so he says: “If I had been given (wealth) like this one, I would have done what (the first man) did.” The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘They will be equal in reward. And a man to whom Allah gives wealth but does not give knowledge, so he squanders his wealth and spends it in inappropriate ways; and a man to whom Allah gives neither knowledge nor wealth, and he says: “If I had (wealth) like this one, I would do what (the third man) did.” The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: ‘They are equal in their burden (of sin).’” (Sunan Ibn Majah Vol. 5, Book 37, Hadith 4228) Which kind are you? Narrated Anas (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith: 1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle (peace be upon him) becomes dearer than anything else. 2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake. 3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 1, Book 2, Hadith 9) _Ask yourself today, do you possess any of the 3 qualities above?_

Narrated Ibn `Umar (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Oppression will be a darkness on the Day of Resurrection." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 46, Hadith 8) _When we see injustice in the world today, always remember a day will come when all the debts will be due. How one dealt with others will be returned to them. May Allah protect us from oppression and being oppressors_– Ameen.

Abu Bakr ibn Hafs (RA) reported that 'Abdullah would not eat unless an orphan was at his table. (Sahih, Al-Albani, Book 7, Hadith 8) _If you have your parents with you, say Alhamdulillah. If you don’t, then say a dua for the orphans of the world and give thanks for what you have. The very least we can do is give these amazing orphans our duas._

Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA):The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: When three are on a journey, they should appoint one of them as their commander. (Sunan Abi Dawud, Book 15, Hadith 132) _When travelling with family or in a group, having someone take charge ensures responsibility for all and that everyone’s going in the same direction. Alhamdulillah that this hadith encourages that! _

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "None of you should wish for death. Either he is a doer of good, so perhaps he may do more good, or he is an evildoer but perhaps he will give up his evil ways." (Sunan an-Nasa'i, Book 21, Hadith 1) Remember this when you feel life is a lost battle. There is always hope. Allah has hope for you and every moment is an opportunity to seek solace in Him and gain rewards. Alhamdulillah!

Ibn 'Abbas (RA) said, "There are 360 joints and each of them owes sadaqa every single day. Every good word is sadaqa. A man's helping his brother is sadaqa. A drink of water which he gives is sadaqa. Removing something harmful from the road is sadaqa." (Sahih, Al-Albani, Book 24, Hadith 4)

Abu Hurayra (RA) said, "The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked, 'Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), to whom should I be dutiful?' 'Your mother,' he replied. He was asked, 'Then whom?' 'Your mother,' he replied. He was asked, 'Then whom?' 'Your mother,' he replied. He was asked, 'Then whom?' He replied, 'Your father.'" (Sahih al-Albani  Book 1, Hadith 5)

“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three things: a continuous charity, a knowledge they left which is beneficial; or a virtuous child who prays for them”- The Prophet Muhammad (saw) - (Sahih Muslim)

Ibn 'Abbas (RA) narrated: "I was behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) one day when he said: 'O boy! I will teach you a statement: Be mindful of Allah and He will protect you. Be mindful of Allah and you will find Him before you. When you ask, ask Allah, and when you seek aid, seek Allah's aid. Know that if the entire creation were to gather together to do something to benefit you- you would never get any benefit except that Allah had written for you. And if they were to gather to do something to harm you- you would never be harmed except that Allah had written for you. The pens are lifted and the pages are dried.'" (Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Book 37, Hadith 2706)

Narrated Sahl (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise," showing his middle and index fingers and separating them. (Sahih al-Bukhari, book 5304)

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Abi Bakr (RA) said: "I heard Anas bin Malik (RA) say: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The dead person is followed by three: His family, his wealth and his deeds. Then two of them come back: His family and his wealth, and there remain only his deeds."' (Sunan an-Nasa'i, Book 21, Hadith 121)

It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (RA) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There is no one who deals in usury a great deal (to increase his wealth) but he will end up with little (i.e., his wealth will be decreased)." (Sahih, Book 12, Hadith 2365)

It was narrated from Abu Al-Ahwas (AS), from his father,: That he came to the Prophet [SAW] wearing shabby clothes. The Prophet [SAW] said to him: "Do you have any wealth?" He said: "Yes, all kinds of wealth." He said: "What kinds of wealth?" He said: "Allah has given me camels, cattle, sheep, horses and slaves." He said: "If Allah has given you wealth, then let the effect of Allah's blessing and generosity be seen on you." (Sahih, Sunan An-Nasa’i, Book 48, Hadith 185)

Abu Hurayra (RA). reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him), said, "Wealth does not mean having a lot of property. Wealth means having self-contentment." (Sahih, Book 1, Hadith 276).

Humaid bin Nafi (RA) narrated that: Zainab bint Abi Salamah (RA) said: "I entered upon Umm Habibah, the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him) when her father Sufyan bin Harb died. So she asked for some perfume that had something yellow saffron or something else, so a girl applied it to her and put some on her cheeks. Then she said: 'By Allah! I have no need for perfume except that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "It is not lawful for a woman who believers in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for the dead more than three days, except for her husband (in which case it is) four months and ten days." (Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 2, Book 13, Hadith 22) Death is a part of life. We all, at some point lose someone special in our life. Why not, pray daily to Allah that He grants those special people who have left us, the highest possible rank in Jannah.

Abu Huraira (RA) reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: The similitude of mine and that of my Umma is that of a person who lit fire and there began to fall into it insects and moths. And I am there to hold you back, but you plunge into it. (Sahih Muslim, Book 43, Hadith 18) May Allah keep us away from this fire. This Hadith really is a wake up call…

It was narrated that Harithah (RA) said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'Give charity, for there will come a time when a man will walk about with his charity, and the one to whom he wants to give it will say: If you had brought it yesterday I would have accepted it, but today (I have no need of it)." (Sunan an-Nasa'i,  Book 23, Hadith 2556)

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “On the night on which I was taken on the Night Journey (Isra), I saw written at the gate of Paradise: 'Charity brings a tenfold reward and a loan brings an eighteen fold reward.' I said: 'O Jibril! Why is a loan better than charity?' He said: 'Because the beggar asks when he has something, but the one who asks for loan does so only because he is in need.' ” (Sunan Ibn Majah,  Book 15, Hadith 2525)

Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)"
