Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Desire for Wealth


Ibn Ka'b bin Malik Al-Ansari (RA) narrated from his father, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Two wolves free among sheep are no more destructive to them than a man's desire for wealth and honour is to his religion."

(Jami`at-Tirmidhi, Vol. 4, Book 36, Hadith 73)

Beware the temptation of money and respect. True wealth is remembering Allah all the time and being grateful for everything He has blessed you with and honour is only bestowed by Allah, not pursued.

Source: BBC New Malian striker Frederic Kanoute has splashed out more than US$700,000 to buy his own mosque in Spain. The mosque is located in the Spanish city of Seville, where Kaounte plays his club football for Sevilla. The privately owned mosque was due to be sold after a contract to use the premises by the local Muslim population had expired. Prophet Musa (Moses) Peace be upon him

The Prophet Musa (Moses)suffered terribly from his people and endured much for sake of Allah. Abdullah Ibn Umar narrated: 'One the Prophet Muhammad SAW distributed something among his companions, a man said this distribution has not been done with justice seeking Allah's countenance,i went to the Prophet SAW and told him of what the man said, he became so angry that i saw the signs of anger on his face , then the Prophet Muhammad SAW said: May ALLAH bestow his Mercy on Prophet Musa (Moses)for he was harmed more in worse manner than this yet he endured patiently. The Children of Israel mistreated Prophet Musa (Moses)a lot. His agony was not limited to mutiny, stupidity, chattering ignorance and idolatry it exceeded this and went as far as inflicting personal harm on him.
