Today's Hadith is about the Value of Water



Narrated Sa'd ibn Ubadah (RA): Sa'd (RA) asked: Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), Umm Sa'd (RA) has died; what form of sadaqah is best? He replied: Water (is best). He dug a well and said: It is for Umm Sa'd (RA).

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Book 9, Hadith 126)

As we enter the start of a new Islamic year, we reflect upon the important sacrifices made by Imam Hussain (ra), his family and his companions on the land of Karbala approximately 1400 years ago.

During this month of Muharram, Imam Hussain (ra) lost his six-month-old baby, who died in his arms as he was denied access to water, whilst many more of his loved ones were held captive and killed. Imam Hussain (ra) made the ultimate sacrifice for Allah (swt).

Source: BBC New Malian striker Frederic Kanoute has splashed out more than US$700,000 to buy his own mosque in Spain. The mosque is located in the Spanish city of Seville, where Kaounte plays his club football for Sevilla. The privately owned mosque was due to be sold after a contract to use the premises by the local Muslim population had expired. Prophet Musa (Moses) Peace be upon him

The Prophet Musa (Moses)suffered terribly from his people and endured much for sake of Allah. Abdullah Ibn Umar narrated: 'One the Prophet Muhammad SAW distributed something among his companions, a man said this distribution has not been done with justice seeking Allah's countenance,i went to the Prophet SAW and told him of what the man said, he became so angry that i saw the signs of anger on his face , then the Prophet Muhammad SAW said: May ALLAH bestow his Mercy on Prophet Musa (Moses)for he was harmed more in worse manner than this yet he endured patiently. The Children of Israel mistreated Prophet Musa (Moses)a lot. His agony was not limited to mutiny, stupidity, chattering ignorance and idolatry it exceeded this and went as far as inflicting personal harm on him.
